Book I - Welcome to the Bank... and Other Pool Shots
This book was created around the concept behind the "Standard Shot" speed and English bank shot - hence - "Welcome to the Bank". The spin-offs using different grips and speed seem endless. For your game to benefit, it is important that you become consistent at this technique.
I have been shooting pool since 8th grade, so that would make it about 36 years, but seriously for the last 20. As I mostly play 8-ball and straight pool, this banking system will naturally help those games most. Although for the player of any pocket billiards game, who would like another tool to take their game a step higher, this banking system will surely help. Included are, in my opinion, some very useful shots where I describe my technique for making them.
Be sure to check out the "Carom" section where conveniently enclosed is your FREE "Sure Carom" - Guide #1 (patent Pending) by Poolshots to add yet another valuable shot to your game.
In the November Issue of The American Cueist, Gary Johnson wrote...
"Welcome To The Bank... and Other Pool Shots" by Les Fiegel
I found the tape and book submitted by this writer to be tedious at first viewing. Since the package was attractive and professionally done, I reviewed it again. The second viewing prompted a third visit into the perspective of Mr. Les Fiegel and I was very impressed with his fresh insight of some "standard" and "not so standard" shots. In this book, he provides some excellent illustrations of jump shots, kick shots, banking, extreme cutting and double kiss shots.
The book also contains a "carom guide", (Patent pending) which is a training device that helps calculate, evaluate and ensure success of carom shots.
The video tape is well put together and is very informative. Mr. Fiegel narrates and performs the shots himself. He is extremely detail oriented, which is where I believe the value of this tape originates. On the tape he demonstrates primarily bank and kick shots with varying degree of English. Nice Work!!
Mr. Fiegel is presenting a tremendous amount of theory and application on difficult shot making; thus, in my opinion, this information is best suited for the intermediate and advanced player.
